Maximus-3 winch plate, on sale right now for $278.99, is on my list. The Badland APEX 12K pound winch is $60 off at HF right now, but I am waiting for the 20% or 25% off coupons to hit for the holidays.
Yea I was looking at the non synthetic one which is 300 right now... Think I'll wait for the coupon as well. The bumper I want won't be available until February anyways.

Have you looked at the Zeak winch on Amazon for 280? Reviews seem tempting

Looking for a winch but Iā€™m lost with so many options / sales. I keep reading but I canā€™t make a decision. If you were going to buy a winch on sale what you you buy and where?

I'm looking at a JCR front bumper, either the crusader it the mauler. I like the weight of them for being steel bumpers. Anyone have experience with them?
I've been a JCR fan for 15 years. Stand up company, and American made/built.

I've had their rear bumper/carrier, and upgraded steering on my TJ, and am now putting a rear bumper/carrier on my JL.

Tankless I hope.
unfortunately not. Just another simple 50 gal. No need for that smart Wi-Fi stuff. Maybe Iā€™ll go tankless in the next house!

Two more options, Napa MaxiTrac winches. The retail price is high, but the current sale price makes them competitive. I don't see any other limited lifetime warranties in this price range and they have service locations (stores) everywhere.

I ordered this one, didn't think the $200 price difference for the synthetic cable was cost effective.

We've had a tankless in our 4 br house for about 15+ years now. When we worked (married, no kids), it saved money because there was nobody home and the tank heater kept water hot all day. Now that we're retired, I think it's a wash (LOL).

Agree that the $200 wasn't worth it for Chinese synthetic rope. But, I'd remove the steel cable and buy real American made Samson Amsteel 3/8" for it here. Samson AmSteelĀ® Blue 12-Strand Dyneema SK-78 Synthetic Line (sregear.com)

Steel cable is just not worth the risk of injury/death over a snapping cable.

Good to hear. I wanted an aluminum bumper but the cost for them is so high and most steel bumpers are a good bit heavier.

Straight from KC. They are having a 15% off sale right now. So about $542 + tax.
That would have been my first choice! I had over $300 in Amazon gift cards that I wanted to use, however, and the closest I saw on sale was $595 from Amazon themselves. Still $40 off regular price and I got to use the gift cards!

Thanks for the link. I already ordered a cheap Chinese synthetic replacement cable, but if I ordered the raw cable in your link, how would I get a loop on the end of the cable?
