If you're on road mainly and doing just a few occasional dirt roads, I'd stick with 33s on a sport if you like using 8th gear on the hwy and dont want to spend alot more $. Is another inch of clearance really going to make that big of a difference for your light use? I have a 6 speed and 6th gear was useless with 35s with sport gearing. I've read from many that you'll lose 8th gear running 35s on the auto with 3.45 gearing.I am on road mostly. No hilly terrain or rock crawling. It’s my DD. Light off roaming on rough/ dirt roads. Really need ground clearance.
Thanks!
You'll also need to get spacers or wheels with less backspacing if you want to keep your tires off the lower control arms. The 35s also rub the fenders alot when flexing if you dont have a lift. Read through the first 2 pages of this thread to learn more about the clearance challenges.(see pics) In summary, you're going to spend alot to gain 1" and have a sluggish jeep that gets worse gas mileage...you decide if it's worth it.
