Hi all, trying to join the Billet club. Emailed a few dealerships for quotes this week and was told that "about 2 weeks ago they stopped taking orders for the Billet Silver." Anyone have any information on that?

Here are a few pics of my 2018 JLU. I installed the AEV Dualsport 2.5 lift, along with 20x9 +1 Fuel Rebel 5, 35x12.5x20 BFG KO2’s and Rubicon front bumper. Still waiting on the Clayton front track bar to arrive, and 2 piece Sahara fenders. This is my first Jeep and loving it.

My dealer also said the system wasn’t accepting billet silver. That has to be some sort of temporary glitch. How could it not be? Hmm...

One of the dealers believed Billet Silver won't be available for the rest of model year 2021. I can't imagine why that would be unless it's getting discontinued for 2022. Does anyone have any insight?

No info on that, but when I ordered my Jeep I tried to get Mojito. They weren't taking orders for it then, and there was rumor that it was being discontinued due to issues matching panels. As we all know Mojito wasn't off the order list for long, but by the time it came back I had already ordered Billet.
It's hard to say why a color is temporarily unavailable for order, or if it's being eliminated. I doubt they'll get rid of silver though since it's typically a color available on every vehicle like black and white. Maybe they're switching to a new hue of silver and they'll be giving it a new name. Or maybe they're just out of stock of Billet and aren't accepting orders until it's back in.
