BFG KO2:
37 x 12.5 has overall diameter of 36.5
35 x 12.5 has overall diameter of 34.5
315/70/17 has overall diameter of 34.4

G.Y. Duratrac:
37 x12.5 not offered ----------- n/a
35 x 12.5 has overall diameter of 34.8
315/70/17 has overall diameter of 34.4

Cooper STT Pro:
37 x 12.5 has overall diameter of 36.8
35 x 12.5 not offered ----------- n/a
315/70/17 has overall diameter of 34.6

I'd say they're pretty much on par with the every other company when it comes to their sizes.
The huge following probably has a lot to do with their road manners. For a capable off-road tire, they do very well on the road, and they're pretty quite too. I've had them, I liked them. I'm running KM2's right now but the KO2 is a good tire. I think I like the Duratrac a little better, but that's because the Goodyears are a beast in the snow/ice.

Thanks for your post, can I ask how the GYD and BFG K02 compare from an on road noise and handling POV? Thanks

Handling, I'd say they were pretty much the same. No real difference in my experience with how they cornered, or stopped on dry/wet roads. The GYD did do a little better when it encountered snow and ice, but that's not to say the KO2 did poorly. They were great tires too, and I strongly considered them for my JL when I replaced the stock tires.
As for noise, the KO2 was a little quieter than the GYD. Much like the snow/ice difference, it isn't a huge difference, but the KO2 is a little better in that regard. So, one tire is a little better in snow/ice, while the other does a little better with road noise.

Both are great tires, and I'd absolutely have either of them again. The biggest reason I didn't get GYD for my JL was the price. For the size I wanted (295/70/17) those things are crazy expensive. I was looking at KO2 (285/75/17) which aren't cheap, but are cheaper than the 34" GYD. While being cheap and looking for a deal, I found a set of nearly new KM2's on craigslist, so I went with them.

With money not being an issue, I'd have probably gone with the GYD. They really aren't that much louder than the KO2, and they drive on the road just as well.

FWIW, I made a tire comparison thread/chart where we're rating them (not a random company or sponsor). They both rate very well and the overall rating difference is 0.3 difference on a scale of 1-10. Here's a link to the thread → LINK

Having some fun out on Copper Cache and Gold Mine trails.

Gotta love the ROAM framed mounted rock rails. Today was no exception. Afterwards a little sandpaper and rusoleum and I’m set for the next outing.

Great looking rig. I am looking for frame mounted steps that double as sliders. I have been considering the Smittybuilt SRC frame mounted ones but like the look of your's. Are they pretty rugged?

Also, which rack are you running? Does it allow you to put the bestop sunrider all the way back?

My ROAM framed mounted rock rails have taken a beating out on the rocks and keep coming back for more. They have more than paid for themselves. I expected them to last for years of abuse. They also work great as steps.

The roof rack is an EVO rack. Yes, this rack works perfectly with the Bestop sunrider for hardtop. I love the combo. The Alien sunshade completes that said combination.

Hey are these 37's? Also what size are your wheels? I have a sport and put rubicon fenders on and was thinking about 37's. I was wondering how it would be with the sport axles being 3/4 inch narrower on each end. I already have 17x9 -12 wheels.
18x10? i have rubicon axles...
