This has been my first Wrangler, so I can't speak for how it compares to the 2.0 or the 3.6 or compare it to previous generations (sorry)... What I can tell you is I absolutely love it! I traded in a 2016 Camaro SS, which had 455 HP and 455 ft.-lb. of torque. This doesn't have that high HP, so once it gets to speed, it tapers off fast, but the torque is almost exactly what I had on the Camaro... the pickup (merging onto traffic, etc.) is spot on.

My other "current" Jeep is a 1979 CJ-5 with an AMC 304 V-8. I have to imagine that this thing's low end torque is going to rock with 4-wheeling and blow that V-8 outta the water.

I was curious because I k ow a few guys that had them in their Rams and didn’t like it. Of course they got them when they first came out too. So I was curious about it in a Wrangler and if it’s worth the extra cost.

My wife has a baby Duramax in her Chevy Colorado and I can safely say this engine (so far!) feels more responsive, faster, stronger, etc.

Any chance someone has these on a bikini pearl? Had them on my last jeep and loved them but wanted to see before if I could....

This is my 2020 Rubi! I love the color and it generally keeps my husband away from driving it. Originally I was not sold on the Bikini color and red dash, and now I think the red accents her perfectly!

Curious how the diesel runs. Let us know!
I just got a JLU diesel about 2 weeks ago, i think she’s the first one on the road in New England. My 3rd Wrangler, this thing is an absolute beast...So much torque and the 8 speed auto is fantastic, smooth shifting no matter the situation. Really impressed so far.
