That size is closer to 34.5" tire. Not a huge difference from 35" but every bit helps with fitment.You can fit 315/70/17 on them equivalent of a 35” tire. You will need a lift and wheel spacers to do it though.
Depends on the manufacturer on actual tire sizes so I wouldn't be too concerned about it either way as the 315/70/17 is essentially a 35" tire. For example, a KM3 is a measured diameter of 34.5" in a 35/12.5/17 which is smaller than Toyo's 315/70/17 and measures in at 34.6". Toyo has a 35x12.5x17 as well and its 34.8" wide just for reference. Some companies don't even stock both size since they are essentially the same. If you are planning to do a lift, do that first. The lift will dictate what tire size you can fit.I appreciate the info. Already planning on a 2.5 lift. Just not sure which to do first.
