Hi everyone, something strange happened today with my 2021 JLUR. The dealer said my AC compressor failed, but I’m unsure. Earlier, I used “M” to overtake a few cars, then switched back to “D.” The engine started choking and shaking as the gear dropped to 3, then to 1. When I parked, a loud chain-like noise came from the engine, so I shut it off immediately. After a few minutes, I restarted, everything worked fine, including the transmission but the AC wasn’t cold. The dealer suspects a bad compressor, but could a failed compressor really cause that loud chain noise when shifting to Park?
