BFG KO2 - what size is best for me?

I have a 2018 JLU Sahara and I believe the wheels are 18" and I want to keep factory wheel. I want to get the BFG KO2's and a 2.5" lift kit. I would like for the tires to be 35" in diameter.

Which size of the BFG's is best for me?

and can you explain what the sizes mean (ex. LT325/65r18 or 35x12.5R18LT)?

I am new to lifts, tires, and wheels.

believe your looking for 315-65R18 is a 34.12" tall x 12.4" wide or 315 70 R18 which is 35.36" tall by 12.4" wide

metric vs standard inchs is the only difference you can always type in the metric number and ask to convert to inchs on google. works well for me

Keep in mind if you get that 2.5" lift combined w/ the taller & wider 35s your chances of contact during suspension flex is pretty high. The factory wheels have a conservative offset (+44) this keeps your tires inside the fender but when you run wider/taller tires on those same wheels you should add a wheel spacer to bring them out away from the suspension. Only problem is Jeep spacers run pretty wide, at least 1.25" from what I've seen, so you will have some poke out from the fenders if you run them, and rubbing/contact if you don't. Just something to consider.
BFG has a 305/70/18 that's 34.8 tall and 12.2 wide, and the 325/65/18 that's 34.6 tall 13.0 wide, along w/ the 35x12.5x18 that's 34.5 tall and 12.5 wide FWIW.

I thought that the BFG's like the 305, 325 and just 35 were thinner than a normal 35" tire? Then you wouldnt have to run a spacer? That is just what I had been told.

Typical 35" tires run 12.5" wide which is about as wide as a 315 in metric size. So a 305 would be 10mm narrower, a 325 10mm wider. The main issue is the Sports & Saharas don't have the 1.5" wider axles that the Rubicon does, so to get proper clearance when you go tall & wide you also have to go out with the wheel spacing (or get new wheels that have less positive offsets).

You could always go with your plan, and see how it goes, and if you do have contact issues then go w/ spacers or new wheels at a later date.
