Looks sharp.. What width wheels and what's the mounted height? Couple friends running 39" KM3's swear they only measure 38" on 8.5 wheels.
Mine measure 37.25 - 37.5 mounted on 17x9 with about 12k miles on em. They measure a hair over 38 unmounted. No DOT tire measures true

Thank you ;)

I got the Mopar Beadlock wheels which are 8.5' width when the true Beadlock ring is attached. Mounted hight, if I understand you correctly, is about 38.5 inch in new condition and 25psi.

Wife wants 39s great read. You can break axles with stock tires depending on how hard you are on it. I've seen it in person.

Now I’m curious and wonder if BFG started making the 39 a bit truer to size

Early on at least the KM3 ran pretty small maybe 37 mounted with the weight of the jeep on it. I’d be curious to see if the KO2 is taller since I think both tires use the same carcass

my personal experience is that the 39s KM3 is a little bigger

KO2 is almost same, little smaller and little less tread width.

I know this is an older thread, but what gears do you guys go to for these 39’s? Considering their lighter weight, not sure where to go. Thanks!

Well I hit a big pothole at 15mph with a Dana44 from a JLUR-XR and 37” K02s and bent my front axle, so I def won’t be tossing 39s on lol

I suspect adjustable control arms help. I’m planning to swap later, but I believe 37” is the limit on tires before the rear wheel well runs out of room. If it helps, the worst part is pulling the fenders, not actually cutting the body.

Jesus that must have been one hell of a pot hole

it was not a good day, it was hidden beneath snow/ice so the hole tire went right in.

I was at 5.13 with a manual transmission. Worked great.

In that scenario a larger tire might have actually helped. The closer the center of the wheel is to the top edge of the pot hole, the more likely the wheel would roll over/through the obstacle. The lower the center of wheel is to the edge of the pot hole (with smaller tires), the more likely the wheel will be stopped, sending the force back into the axle.
