Well I just took the plunge. Now the wait is on. Hope I made the right decision between the black twill and the black diamond. I chose the twill.

I love that top. I may end up getting one as well. I think the black twill is the way to go. Probably similar to the premium soft top material.

Twill's are in stock and shipping.....diamond should be a few days off (In the Bestop sub-forum, they mentioned it was a week or so out on Monday.)

I like the deep color on the twill, but I've had enough people tell me that the lack of stretch on the twill makes it louder if it's not able to get a good seal, and that also makes it harder to put back on once its off.

I ended up going with the Black Diamond, but I since I haven't owned either, and made my decision based on the opinions of a few people who have 'em on JK's....not sure my opinion on the topic is worth much. I'd hope by end of summer I'll have enough time with it to feel confident of my decision (or to admit it was the wrong choice for me, and go the other way...)

Post pictures and feedback after it's been on for while!

-Cheers

There are a few members with them on their JLs already
Yes, I've seen them around but none on the 2 doors yet.

That was my thinking also but as of now the twill is $400 cheaper than the black diamond. How's that?

Black diamond is most likely sailcloth material so it would be comparable to the standard softop - twill would be comparable to the premium softop material.

Go to Bestop and build it. I couldn't understand it either that's why I hurried up and ordered and hope it's right.

I would be willing to bet that is reversed/wrong on the 2 door the twill has always been more expensive on all models.
