Bestop supertop ultra latch won’t open

So it’s been 3 day of 100 degree heat and my newly installed soft top latch is still super tight . One side opens up on the J -hook but the other side won’t. Can’t get both of them open at the same time.

anyone have tips?

How many day does it take the twill to loosen up ?

So it been a few days both latches won’t open at the same time... the trick if any new owners have this problem is .. hold down on the middle handle.. of the top. With one hand open one side of the latch ...

then switch hands holding the middle handle down again..(pull down really hard) and use your other handle to flip the latch . This is the only way I’ve been able to open my top. Hope this helps someone .

Try contacting customer support. I have same problem, but doesn't sound bad as yours. I'm going to try taking out the windows, undoing the locking bolts at the hinge mechanism, then crank everything forward again, then latch, THEN last tighten the hinge bolts...
