I find my Sunrider to be less noisy than the stock freedom panels when closed.

Light bars can be a source of noise, since they can disrupt the flow of air over/across the Sunrider.
Yea, my light bar makes a lot of noise with both tops installed. But I am good with it, because I built this not for the highway but offroad. Was out in it today in town and man its nice to have that option of having that open.

Love my Sunrider. Quality addition that let's you easily enjoy that open air feeling when you can't go completely topless. All it takes is about 3 seconds and you can open or close at a stop sign or traffic light.

When I do remove it, the Sunrider always reinstalls and lines up perfectly with no issues. After initial installation, with the help from a 2nd pair of hands, it literally takes 3-5 minutes to remove or install.

Sunrider usage tip: When Sunrider is open, roll down both back windows half way to reduce wind flow in in the front seats. Works like magic.
Yep, crack the rear windows and it will reduce the noise.

When I am in my garage, I feel the Freedom panels are more sound proof than the SR. In the suburbs I do not hear any difference. On the highway, the Freedom panels again have more sound proofing

I thought I had read somewhere that a member used some type of blanket material between the SR and his sunshade to dampen the sound when closed but I’m not sure I want to carry something else as the purpose of me ordering mine today was to store less ( freedom panels in back )

I hope to have mine in a week or so as it supposed to ship today but I figure it won’t leave there warehouse until maybe tomorrow

Also ordered some 303 for the canvas as it was suggested to treat it by several here so the plan is if all goes well to have it installed and treated by Saturday

Installed mine yesterday.

I was worried about how the black would contrast with my billet silver but all in all I think it looks OK!

The worst part of the install as mentioned are the Z clips. They're fiddly little fekkers but once they're in they seem to stay in fine without tape.
I used the latest Bestop video on YouTube which was easier than reading the instructions.

First impressions are good. Looking forward to better weather here in the UK to open it properly.
Road noise is most definitely increased over the freedom panels with headliners but nothing that would concern me. Just needs getting used to.

I gave it a good spray with Meguiars ME G2112 today to give it extra waterproofing.
Just waiting for rain now to check for any leaks 😂

Well got mine today and hopefully can get it on over the weekend, plan on treating with 303 before the install.

Have watched a few vids on the Z clip thing and the only one that shows a detailed view is that girl from Lite Brite

Don’t go by that video. It’s outdated. The new instructions have you build/assemble everything before installing on the vehicle. It’s much easier to get the z-clips connected this way. Also, use a small piece of tape to keep the z-clips in place once seated.

Found this one and as suggested by you guys it’s best to put it together before installing

"Best" investment ever for both of my JK's and now my JL! Even left it on all winter this year, panels hanging in bag on garage wall!!! Even got to throw it back a few times this winter, easy, peasy! AAAAA++++++

No complaints at all even noise not that different. Cold in NE this winter not that different inside JKU, love it!!

Jeep should make this a order option!!

Go Jeep!!!

Got mine in today, the Z clip on the driver side popped in pretty easy ...
passenger side was a kinda of a pain but as it was suggested it’s much easier to do off the Jeep

I did not use tape so hoping they stay in there ;)

I assuming the top sits in the bucket seal here it is before I tightened things up

This was after I tightened things up, I actually don’t mind the Bestop logos to awful much

Had some issues with my grab handles and bungee cords from my sunshade so had to push things a bit close to keep things from being pinched under the door rails

And here it is all done so no more freedom panels for me in the summer time, the clamp on the driver side seems to not have as much tension as the passenger side but not I’m not sure it will be an issue and not sure it’s adjustable.

Watched the vids, including Lite Brite Brittany who can handle a cordless drill, and other than the Z clip had zero trouble. It did take this old guy longer than 30 minutes (Bestop's estimate in instructions) to do the job. Agree with the previous comments that the Sunrider fits perfectly and looks great, is ridiculously easy to operate, and noisier but not too noisy on the highway. This is a true no-brainer, my best mod so far.

Looks good, what sun screen are you using? I love my top, find myself driving everywhere with it open.
