Thanks for all the info.Not the greatest for detail, but here is a pick of the deflector I came up with, there are many ways to do it, even plexiglass would work. There are tons of ways to make something. I think there is even one earlier in this thread for a different rack that looks like it would bolt on.
Would you mind getting a measurement of the length and width of the rack. I just purchased the one for my Gladiator and am wondering if the JL one would be long enough to fit on top of the bed rack. I’m thinking the matching set would look good if it’s long enough.
Out in the garage now, it's 58 inches wide and 60 inches long. Give or take 1/2 inch or so.

I picked up a piece of 12'' x 60" x 3/8" Derlin for $25 local. I figure my belt sander and heat gun will allow me to shape a decent deflector. Plexi would probably work well too and its cheap.So today I installed my Bestop roof rack. Looks nice, I like it, but it makes noise going down the road (which multiple sites have told me it does, so I was expecting it). My next project is to try and make a front air dam out of the side things the rack came with that I'm not using before I go trying to buy one.
Anyways, last night I was looking to see if I could find a put-together-and-install video of this roof rack. I came across this video, and said to myself "That looks exactly like the Bestop rack" (because it is!).

Looks like Extreme Terrain was selling the exact same thing (Bestop roof rack) as their Barricade HDX Hard Top Roof Rack. And I think they were selling it for $800-something. Maybe the same company makes them and then other distributors put their name on them(?).
I don't think Extreme Terrain is selling this Barricade one anymore - they are selling the Bestop one though ($499).
Nice! I'm betting most of your noise is coming from the screened area, great idea and great use of what you had! Even a piece of some tinted lexan bolted up to that would work and wouldn't add too much cost.So today I made an air dam with the side things it came with that I'm not using.
The rack cones with four light tabs. I put all four up front. Then I bent the tabs on the side thing to the angle I wanted. And then bolted it in place.
Total cost about $7.00 for four button head 3/8 bolts and four locking nuts. I already had a slew of washers to act as spacers.
Does it help with the noise? Some. I need to see if putting some sort of backing behind the mesh will help.
