Quadratec ‘41 with 33s (285/70R17), stock.
Fenders cover the tire and no rubbing except the rears a little when going off-road and fully flexed (front of fender flare for the rear tires).

Sounds good. I rock crawl and like that I can fix all but the deepest gouges with a sharpie!
Here are the specs:
  • Color: Black or Gunmetal Grey or Bronze or Machined
  • Bolt Pattern: 5x5
  • Size: 17x8.5
  • Backspacing: 5.2
  • Offset: + 10.01mm or + 10mm
  • Wheel Diameter: 17
  • Wheel Width: 8.5

No longer stock but still with 33s (for now):

Short story, I have 2” of lift with synergy springs. It drives really well, at least as good as stock or better.

Long story, I’ve got a PR44 front axle that needs JK synergy springs -3 (or 3” JK springs that netted me a bit over 2” on the JL). Rear are synergy -2 JL springs that got me almost exactly 2”.
I have adjustable upper and lower front control arms, a synergy drag link and a JKS track bar (synergy wasn’t available at the time). The adjustable control arms allowed me to dial in 7 degrees of caster for better on road feel. I also have fox shocks all around for more travel off-road but they are great on road also.

Yellow and black look great together! I love those Quadratec ‘41 wheels, too. One of the best-looking wheels to appear on Wranglers in years.

To tie it all together nicely, I’d replace the shiny Jeep fender badges and the Trail Rated medallion with black ones.

Greg,

it’s probably important for you to clarify your usage of your Jeep. I get that you want it to look “aggressive” and would prefer not to lift it/change the suspension/change fender flares.

but, here is the point that you should clarify: do you intend to take this vehicle off-road? Your first post just says “mostly highway and beaches”.......... if you want to off-road, do you envision that you will get into places where you will need to get flex-y? If you ONLY intend to drive your Jeep on pavement/State beach, your options will be different than if you intend to crawl. Or, if you only intend to go off-road but only down maintained forest roads, that will be different than over landing on non-maintained roads —- both have different flexing needs than crawling.

define your usage and folks may be able to better help you narrow your selection.

if ALL you want to do is drive on the road and s State beach, you can easily get a 33” tire (285) with an aggressive tread (like a mud tire or something) on your Jeep. That’s probably a great option for you. But, Maybe a 295 — you might need spacers, I don’t know. Heck, you might even be able to get a 305 or even a 315...... others will know for sure......

Take a look at this Sahara:

you might wish to reach out to the poster.....
33's on a Sport/Sahara?
