Best Tent Option (CVT, Roofnest, FSR)

Ended up ordering the FSR Odyssey 55". Few reasons like footprint, ease of setup/take down, interior space (small wife and 9yr old), price compared to CVT medium and Roofnest XL. Then the biggest....availability lol

It really checks all the boxes for me. The tri layer seems like it should be good in various weather. Is a sweet spot between fitting well on my roof, slim profile and price. Have heard good reviews so I'm excited.

Crazy enough I haven’t. FedEx freight has been holing it hostage for over a week saying it’s going to deliver. I got fed up and going to get it myself Monday. Will post some pics once I have it.

Now I have to figure out the mounting. I have the Pioneer platform and the Odyssey rails are 30 1/4" apart. They don't line up right over the cross rails of the Pioneer. I watched this video from FSR and they drilled hole into the rack on one side. Simple enough. Just not sure if that would shift the tent to one side.

Yeah I really had to make my setup work. Had to drill holes for my awning. I’m going to sell my RTT soon and eventually the rack for something else. The rack cost more money than my RTT... excited to see yours setup. Looking for options now.
