Are you planning on rounding the outside top edges? Or keep the 90%.

i did end up rounding up all edges except the middle where the two pieces meet. That way it doesn’t cut anything accidentally. Very very happy with how this turned out

Thanks man ... doesn’t lock, but thinking of an update to that rear section for version 2. Using the bungees is going to work for now though.

I did .... my kids were sitting on top of it last night ---- although they only weigh about 80lbs combined. It flexes slightly, but I think it will hold a decent amount. I want to get up and see if it will support me (~165lb). My plan was to hold one of our bigger coolers up there (Cabela's 80Qt Polar cap)

Finish turned out a lot better than anticipated actually. I would probably double the amount I applied though. I put 2 layers on each side and it used all 4 cans I got. I purchased from Amazon -- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FFIIHHU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They can tint to different colors too which would be pretty nice

That looks fantastic ... do you need to fold in both sides for the top to drop in? I haven’t looked too hard to see if just dropping the center interferes with anything or is just big enough

Yes, both sides cannot be there either. That is why I built the front version the way I did. Right behind the roll bars is the the space needed for the too to go all the way down and lock in place. I can leave the back dropped down at the 90° position and anyone sticking their hands in there will find a board instead of a empty space, but its handy for it to lock all the way up so it's easier to load cargo.
