I purchased mine from Rugged Ridge. They are very similar to the Quadratec ones in Boatbuilder88's post.

I purchased mine from Rugged Ridge. They are very similar to the Quadratec ones in Boatbuilder88's post.
I have them in a box ready to go on, I wish they made one that covered ever so thinly the first lip.
An industrial tape perhaps?

Keep in mind that protection over the second lip will break the door seal and allow water in. If you don’t go water fording no big deal. I have to wipe my door jams and inside bottom of door after washing or driving in heavy rain.

Is this the reason there is no protection? Or is it production cost and eventual Jeep owners choice?
