One more flap and that'd make a dandy smoker.I just finished a DIY table from scraps laying around the shop - I spent a total of $1.36 for 5 screws. All else was "free". However - if I were to have been paid $2.00 an hour for engineering and fabrication time - it'd have been much cheaper to buy one.
That being said, here is my "do-all" table. 28" wide, 22" deep, with a 16" deep top shelf. Everything is hinged, so I can use either half table or whole table, top or bottom, as I see fit. The whole thing weighs 14 pounds and sits less than 2" deep when closed (including the 0.200" offset from the tailgate for venting). Made out of 0.062 aluminum.
