I have been looking for a way to put some of my light camping gear on my hardtop but none of the options I've seen so far seem to work for what I need. I have a 2 door and run out of space easily when camping. I need a rack to put my tent, maybe a portable table, sleeping bags,maybe some gas, etc... I really don't wanna be carrying much weight on top so I am not interested in permanent racks, or rooftop tents. I just want something that's low profile, cheap, and can carry a few things here and there. Heavier stuff like the cooler goes on the hitch.
I've been looking around and everything seems kind of sketchy. The roof itself apparently can only safely hold 150lbs of low profile gear, which for my needs seems fine. However, when you add a cargo basket and crossbars, you are looking at around 70~80lbs, which honestly is very little I believe.
Do you have any recommendations?
