My new Wrangler just got delivered to the dealership (Granger) and they provided a quote for an Ethos Group Non-Factory warranty.

When I asked for a quote I'd assumed it'd be through Jeep/Chrysler.

Is the Ethos Group warranty worthwhile or are there better alternatives?

Thanks.

you want the Mopar MaxCare extended warranty. you can buy it from any dealer. seems most people use this guy, it's where i got it from:

you give him your car info and your email and he sends you all the info.

An industrial pack of 1-ply is still useless, it’s just bigger. . .
Now for a more serious response. Ask the dealer you’ll be using who they have worked with successfully (if 3rd party). Then shop around for those or MOPAR. A great deal is no good if your shop doesn’t know how to navigate that company’s processes.
The bureaucracy is real. My BIL made enough money learning to navigate insurance processes for collision shops he sent his horde to private school, houses his mother, and is now founding his own collision shop (without loans). He’s barely past 40 and “only” has an associates degree.

I used Mr. Winkels for my warranty on a Trackhawk, could not have gone more smoothly.

He was unable to match another offer on the 4xe, but the service was stellar.

Are you going to keep it until the end of the extended warranty period? Remember, you are paying for the time and miles past your factory warranty, not in addition to.

Avoid 3rd parties sold at the dealer F&I office when you sign the papers. If you don’t want to deal with spotty quality dealer service, go to the best independent service shop in town and ask them what the best 3rd party warranty company is.

If you are going to do a lot of mods, don’t bother with and extended warranty.

There are a couple of companies which sell Chrysler warranties online, totally legit and they are sold at around $100 over dealer cost. I did purchase from them one time, all paperwork was legit. If I recall correctly chryslerwarranties.com or something like that.

DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!!!!

Go to Jeep and buy you warranty thru them, NOT the dealer!

Off brand warranty's are not worth your money. Only Jeep Warranty will allow you to go to ANY JEEP DEALER for repair.

Legit warranties are sold by FCA thru different dealers, so get a quote from each of them...

Put your money in a savings account. On average you will pay less for any service that might arise, and you will never be declined.

Should the dealer decline factory warranty service (yes that happens), you can use your saved monies...

Should you not need warranty service after factory you keep the cash.

you dont want FCA warrenty, their department is the worst ever.. causes weeks of delay as the dealers have to prove every little detail, thus simple fixes take weeks. I have complained hundreds of times to FCA directly and through the dealer over the course of 15 years.. (2 vehicles same warranty)..
