Ok and that would make some sense as they are a new and small Jeep dealer.Bonus kickback for #s sold.
At least that’s how it worked years ago when I sold imports.
Greatthanks TTECHRIS for this
Great information, you put alot of work into this for the forum. Many many thanks!thanks TTECHRIS for this
High volume dealers. So I just got off the phone with an owner of a local dealer. I actually fairly trust this guy as he is a good friend of my good friend (6 degrees of separation)
He flat out told me that he has 3% of profit below invoice on these cars. He would sell to me for that but he said there is no way a dealer can sell for less than that without losing money. How can all these deals be getting done at 5% and 6%. Is there some sort of high volume discount or is the 3% a fixed number? Just curious.
I had the same experience at Tyson Motors, Jason is definitely real , no haggle no BS best car buying experience I ever hadI admit I was a skeptic, but I just returned from Tyson Motors where I placed my order for an Ocean Blue Sahara at 6% under invoice. While I could have easily placed my order via phone, I wasn't sure Jason was legit and a Jeep is no small investment. I made the 2+ hour trek down to see him in person. Guess what? He's a real guy and I was very happy with his genuine nature! I had considered adding a couple other options (that I did not include in my original build), when I got there and discussed these with Jason, he was honest about which ones weren't a good investment for me and my Jeep. Sales Manager, Adam, seemed equally sincere. There was zero haggling, zero pressure and zero cheesy "sales guy" vibe. This is particularly noteworthy as I am a female (and did not bring my husband with me for this transaction). In other dealerships I entered alone, I was talked down to and given low-ball discounts....not the case at Tyson - all communications have been very respectful. I'll give a final report upon delivery, but at this point I give Tyson Motors and Jason Beltran specifically an A+. If you are on the fence about Tyson Motors/Jason rest assured they are the real deal. Give Jason a call to order your Jeep & tell him Kelly convinced you!
I didn’t pay for wheel locks on my Jeep at TysonJust a heads up, another forum member pointed out to me a few days ago that Tyson charges a $199 non negotiable security fee for wheel locks in addition to the doc fee. I did not even realize it when I received my second quote (the first quote I received did not have the $199 fee attached to it but I added a few pkgs and received a new build sheet) and already signed for a deposit when I realized. I tried calling and contesting the fee (Mopar wheel locks are $49 on eBay) but they said they can't do anything about it, dealership policy so that wheels don't "go missing" on their lots. He said I could have the wheel locks taken off but I would still be charged the fee.
Regardless, a good deal is still to be had but who knows if I would've continued with them if I would have known
Good luck all
Yea, the first price sheet I got didn’t have the fee then a couple weeks later the new I requested didI didn’t pay for wheel locks on my Jeep at Tyson
Interesting, I signed a bill sheet with deposit it’s the final document I got no mention of lug nutsYea, the first price sheet I got didn’t have the fee then a couple weeks later the new I requested did
Already tried calling, they wouldn’t budge
Only thing left is I’m going to try to get them to not charge me that when I take delivery in May
I also was there in person when I sighned dealInteresting, I signed a bill sheet with deposit it’s the final document I got no mention of lug nuts
Tom, do you know if your dealer is willing to do the same deal for others? That is one of the best deals I've heard of on the forum. We shopped all the major's along the East side of WI and best was 1% off invoice for a JLUR.7% under invoice. $75 new license plate, $238 Registration and bs fee, 5.5% sales tax. Rice Lake WI
Thanks for the info Tom, very much appreciated!Hi! I'm good friends with the owner and sales person so I'm pretty sure you won't get the exact same deal, but I spoke with Mark and I'm pretty sure they can beat what you are getting: South Lake Motors ask for Mark 715 234 9081. Another one that was very good on price was Gilberts of Sand Creek ask for Steve Olson the owner 800-335-6418
