Looking at Icon rebounds, there only available in a 4.5” backspace and using the stock BFG’s I’m thinking they will stick out just a bit to much. Wheel is 8.5 wire. Anyone who may have a similar set up please give me your opinion. Thanks

There’s a whole wheels and tires section on the forum this might be better suited to.

I will most like be using the AEV Salta wheels. The 5.2" should keep the stock wheels and hopefully the 35s right where I want them. I don't mind a little sticking out, but it cannot be much. Just a hint of protrusion.

Manufacturing Process: Cast

Material: A356/T6 Aluminum

Coatings: Primer, Paint

Application: 2007+ JK Wrangler

Size: 17" x 8.5"

Bolt Pattern: 5x5

Offset: +10mm

Approximate Backspacing: 5.2"

Beowulf,
I noticed on your wheel listing that you listed "Application: 2007 + JK Wrangler" I didn't know that you can use and search for aftermarket wheels that are listed for JK's. I thought the JL's axles were wider than the JK's, first time Jeep Wrangler owner so I'm learning. Thanks

U.S. Marine,

Yes, any rim that can fit the JK will indeed fit the JL. It all comes down to the rim width/offset/backspacing. The bolt patterns are the same.

The JL does have wider axles so backspacing that people like for the JK might not like them for the JL. It all comes down to personal preference.

Just search for anything that has 5x5 lug pattern and is the width you like. Then it will come down to how far do you want the tires tucked.

Did you go ahead and install these wheels? If so,would you be able to comment on how the fit, any rubbing or sticking out?

I thought by now AEV would have had a set of these in JL sizing...maybe at SEMA 2019.

In the mean time, if they fit well, I may just go ahead and get em.
