I’m looking to replace my factory halogen headlights with 9 inch LED projectors. There are a lot of aftermarket 7” headlights with adapters, but I’d like to use a full 9” replacement.

What are the best brands to look at? I’d like to avoid the cheaper amazon headlights, and buy something with a good warranty?

What do you guys recommend?

Just yesterday I replaced my factory halogens with the LED plug and play Rough Country 9 in headlights. Rather simple install and you can find them for around $500.
I like the look, and I don't see them on the road much. I was leaning toward the RGB Oracles but I'm glad I went with the RC's. The X pattern combined with the halos DRL's look tough, and the amber switchbacks are awesome. The Tazer light show is crazy with these headlights.
Take the time and enable the full potential of the RC's by making 4 tap ins is all it takes.
In the end I don't regret not having all the colors one could ever want since Amber's and white are the only street legal options. Besides I'll be installing a Stinger underbody/wheel well RGB light kit soon.

Hope this helps.

I would get a set of Mopar take-offs; they really are very good. After nearly 60K miles of using them, I have never considered replacing them.

This is the way. I tried 3 different aftermarket LED headlights back in my JK days. JWs were on my 15 when I traded for my 19 JLUR with factory LEDs. Jeeps LED headlights on the JL are better than anything I had ran aftermarket on JKs.

If you want heated lights I think Oracle makes the only ones.

tried many headlights over the years, wouldn’t touch anything except oem. If there are no good oem options then oem housings with well done projector retrofits.

Headlights are fickle sob’s, especially the connections. Seems like no matter how hard you try the connections are always unreliable.

If you don’t want to go the OEM route, @ORACLElights Oculus is a great choice.

I’ve had mine installed since 2019 and they’ve been flawless. Super bright and an exceptional cutoff. No problems with connectors as mentioned above. They’re basically plug and play with one additional wire running from the harness to an unused fuse under the hood for the halos.

Our first upgrade a month after getting the JL was the heated Oracles
small issues hooking the halo into the fuse box without snapping it (very frail and I suppose I could have drilled a notch for it but then again they should have given decent wires and instructions too !!!). The lights are awesome and should melt off ice snow and dew but $600 bucks was a big pill to swallow for headlights on a month old car that Jeep decided a pair of candles would suffice for with zero upgrade options for our unit.
I believe the new factory halogens are just a bit dimmer than the lights on a 1912 Model T and are shameful and unsafe at best

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Here's my thread on the Rough Country 9" set, IMO only the Oracles or Rough Countrys would be my choice if you don't get OEM. The Rough Country and Oracles both have the same housing and projector, only the DRLs are different. The Rough Country has a 3 yr warranty, not sure on the Oculus. Both of those have razor sharp cutoffs and a blue upper cutoff edge. Takes some fine tuning on the height adjuster, but they perform very well and the high beams will illuminate an airplane runway :) I got mine on their scratch & dent site on ebay for $244 so might check there too! FWIW they were as new, not a scratch on them and perfect packaging.

Installed the 9” Oracle Occulus lights on my ‘18 JLU yesterday. Did not choose the switchback or RGB version. Install was very easy and they are far, far brighter than the shameful halogens.

I’ve had the Oracle Oculus in my 18 and then OEM in my new ride. The Oracles have a cleaner cutoff but both are great.
