RockHard4X4 sliders. I’ve used them and they have held up. 10/10 would buy again.

On the other hand any slider mounted to the JL's thin front quarter panel sheet metal is suspect. Maybe they pulled them due to customer's reporting body damage? If so, I applaud them pulling a product that doesn't meet their standards...
Dumb question, do the tread plates come welded on already or are you expected to do it? Seems like they come on it if you pay for that option, logically it makes no sense for them to send you coated parts to then weld yourself.Shrockworks makes a nice frame mounted slider for the 2 door. I have them installed on my 2 door.
They come welded if you add that option. They're great sliders if you don't mind the long wait times.Dumb question, do the tread plates come welded on already or are you expected to do it? Sorry for necro, trading my 4 door for a 2 door and am excitedly researching my projects for this summer/winter.
These sliders look legit. How do they mount?TNT customs rock sliders.
Got one rock rails prepped for paint tonight. Thought I show some pics to show how well made these are. The first 2 pics I wasn't don't prepping it so you'll prob see some film etc.
Define body mount vs frame mount?
By body mount do you mean attached to the pinch seam like the OEM running boards?
These sliders appear to mount up to the frame bolts. Correct?
I've also heard that it can be a bear to get the frame bolts off for the first time.
AKA people have sheared the bolt - apparently the factory used lots of Loctite.
Each mounting point of a frame mount slider will attach to the frame in more than one place. Body mount sliders typically attach to the body mounts as well as the body itself using a series of rivnuts or existing holes in the pinch seam to spread the stress along the body. The picture above is neither, it is a side step and will not provide protection from rocks, logs and the like.Define body mount vs frame mount?

These are the sliders I’m looking at for my 2-door. I love the look and the step. Do these bolt to both the frame and the body? Hard to find clear picts of these anywhere.I have the LOD Destroyers on mine and like them a lot: https://lodoffroad.com/products/2018-jl-destroyer-series-2-door-rock-sliders
