Best $0.01 and one minute mod I’ve made

I have a dead petal that puts my leg right where the door retrain strap folds.

This rubbing drives me crazy in long road trips. So, I simply looped a long rubber band around the strap and up over one of the diagnostic ports.
The door opens fine and when closed, the rubber band pulls the strap up out of the way.

That strap bugged me too. I disconnected it, rotated it 360 degrees and plugged it back in. Now it folds up instead of inward and no longer rubs on my ankle.

Not $0.01 but still pretty damn cheap. A couple of bucks at Lowes and 1 sec of time and you get the perfect anti-seatbelt-flap strap for when the top is off. ?

I saw mixed reviews on those. Easy to install but not long enough or adjustable. How tall are you?

I'm 6' 0" (formerly 6' 1") It's a tiny bit adjustable, but I didn't need to adjust it any.

I bought one of the cheap Amazon ones and it sucked. Bent easily and wouldn’t let me put my foot underneath it to stretch out.

My second one was either a MORE or MORE knockoff. Much better.

Mudflaps and this dead pedal were some of the best mo et I spent.

The rubber band is around the metal bracket, not port.
