Here is some before afters of my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sport Black and Tan.

I went from the stock Crystal Wheels 17x7.5 with +44.5mm offset with 245/75/17 Bridgestone Duelers to 17x8.5 Fuel Anza wheels with -6mm offset with BFG KO2s 285/70/17 in a Load C rating.

Stock rims weigh approx 21-25lbs from what I have read and stock tires weigh 38lbs. - so about 60lbs.
Aftermarket wheels weigh 25lbs and larger BFGs are 50lbs = 75lbs.

No rubbing that I can tell even at full lock.
No difference in driveability that I can tell, but I will drive to work today (I am in a essential business during this Corova Virus) and report more on everything including fuel mileage.

Here are some pics that may help you make a decision.

Drove the car up and back to work today after checking tire pressures and putting all at 37lbs.

Gas mileage is the same.
No rubbing at all.
Ride is firmer and a bit bouncier than the stock 245/75/17 Bridgestone Duelers, but not rough.
I don't drive fast, but normal acceleration seems the same.

If I did not know the wheels and tires were swapped I probably would not have noticed anything.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
@yell03
Like I mentioned in another thread, those wheels look like they were custom made for your Jeep, couldn't ask for a better match IMO, and the fit at the fender looks great too, take a bow sir, nice work!

Thanks again.
There is another rim I actually liked better, but it was 17x9.5 and I did not want that wide of a rim.
The Black Rhino Roku in Bronze is beautiful and also lightweight.
Unfortunately, the BFG 285/70/17 is rated for a 9 inch wide room at most and I wanted a 33 inch tire.

With the Fuel Anza 8.5" rim I can go up to a 35x12.5 and still be OK.

Driveability update:

I had it on the highway and the C load rating of the BFGs really shined.

I was able to cruise at speeds of 75-85 comfortably.

Gas mileage was 18mpg even at those high speeds.

My previous JLUR with the 6 cylinder on E rated 35x12.5x17 Toyo MTs was not comfortable over 65-70mph.

Also, I love the 2.0 turbo, much spunkier than the 6 cylinder.

It has been a while, google it so I don't give you wrong advice

I do believe -12 offset sticks out further than -6 offset.

My Rubicon was -12 I believe and it stuck out more

Here is my current wheel specs I believe they are 17x8.5s

Even though you have 18s, you could go to 17s and have a softer ride and better off-road capability

Fuel Anza Wheel D58317857345 Specifications:
Hub Bore: 78.10
Offset: -6
Backspacing: 4.5”
Weight rating: 2500 lbs.
Wheel Weight: 25 lbs.
Lip Size: 2.68”

Nice rig yell03!
I have a 2 door sport arriving any day now. I have been going back and forth between a 285/70/17 with no lift and a 285/75/17 with a smal lift. After seeing your pics, I think I have made my decision. Well until I change my mind again tomorrow 🙃 Jeep looks great!!

Thanks,

I went back and forth for a while.
I knew I did not want a lift so this was perfect.
