47k miles on a 2018 3.6L manual JLU driven in the flatlands of Michigan. I don't know what's different. Previous summers have been 22-23 ish. (measuring by odometer miles manually divided by gas pump gallons in) Industry veterans have always said engines "loosen up" after 10k miles or so ... maybe mine took longer. Tires are maybe slightly more inflated this summer (36 vs 34), so maybe that's it.

Not supposed to be a significant difference with fuel-injected vehicles, but I've noticed that my fuel economy gets a bit worse with a fresh air filter and then slightly improves as it gets dirty (and should get worse again if you let it get too clogged). Same with tire wear. I seem to get worse fuel economy with fresh rubber, which improves slightly with some wear and should decrease if you let the tread get too worn out. Maybe just my imagination?

Really hard to say with a 1 to 2 MPG increase. Not adjusting your tire pressure for summer temps (if you did so last summer) could certainly be the cause.

I have a V6 6MT on order. I would be thrilled with anything over 20 mpg. Consensus seems to be this drivetrain only gets 15-18 mpg?

My 3.6 6speed gets 22+ mpg...it's a 2023 Sport 4 door...bone stock, no big tires or gearing change.

The 2024 Willys comes with 33's and 4.10 gearing. Wonder how much that will decrease mileage over your sport?

I think I might have the worst possible combo for mileage on a stock Jeep. Mud tires, 4.88 gears, steel bumpers, and the reduced weight of a 2 door is offset by the increased... turbulence.

I pretty consistently hit 17-19MPG on city streets and 70MPH highways. I've seen mid-20s when I can keep it under 65. And it has seemed to gradually improve, but I'm still under 5000 miles.

I get 18 around town and 23-24 on trips. 2 door soft top.

This is a 5% difference at best...your tire pressure is probably the reason.

My Willys does about 22 mpg with my tires inflated to about 36. Coming home from vacation I have seen up to 25.6 mpg indicated which worked out to around 24 hand calculated, which was more than the JK I had with a V6 and a Stick.

Add a couple doors and a 392 if you want to compete for the worst possible combo.

I think most people prefer higher rpms than I do. Add in any hills, too, and it'll get worse.

It's not 1:1, but roughly your engine will be doing 19% more revs in final drive with a 4.10 vs 3.45 (which I think I have), so maybe about 15% worse mileage (?). The computer will probably adjust your shift points in an auto to optimize the gears below final drive. Just guessing

I can get 23-24 out of my Rubicon... 33's and 4.10 gearing.
