Jump starting this old thread LOL. I realize the limitation of the factory battery cable length is the driver for the group 25 selection. But, is changing the cables practical to allow use of the group 35?
@Genesis Offroad
From a technical standpoint, is it possible? Sure, but it would be messy.

The #1 issue is that the factory positive post clamp has no slack at all. With Group 35s in there, the positive post would be by the fender, and the clamp will not stretch all the way over the top of the battery. Yes, you could add an extension onto the factory clamp, but then the problem is that the negative post is right there by that factory positive clamp that's dangling with an extension on it, so you're at an increased risk of accidentally bumping the positive wire to the negative post.

Plus you'd have to extend all 4 wires on the Power Hub to cross over the opposite direction, so that would be a pain.

We have had some people do it, and as long as the wires go where they should go, it doesn't affect the functionality at all. It just looks like a mess.

I designed the system to be super easy to install, and dang near impossible to do it wrong. So if you want to alter the way it was intended to be installed, go ahead, but at your own risk, that's all.

Shane,
I was really asking if it was practical to completely change out the factory battery cables and reroute the top cover cables of course, not just add extensions.

I know it is a clean and simple installation of your system as designed, but the group 25 availability thing is really a limitation in more than one way.

I still have the gen 1 dual battery setup(I think), and I missed the deal for the chance to upgrade the trays awhile back. I was wondering if the full river would also fit in this old tray size?
