I have the barricades on my JLUS. Tried to crop the photo so you could see how far they stick out. You can also use these with the RUBI rock sliders.

Hmm..yours seem to stick straight out, vs coming out at an upward angle (the pic in the link).

I like the idea of not having to take off my Rubicon sliders, I wonder if that’s the case for the ones on the link.

I see what you mean how my picture makes them seem like they come straight out. It may be the angle I was at. But I like them and for the price point they are solid. They have a lot of good reviews as well. Good luck with whatever you choose though!

I have a 2021 JLU Rubicon, and I'm looking to replace my stock rock sliders with something that bolts to the frame.

Something that doesn't stick out too far (like my Smittybilts did on my last Jeep), but they need to be strong.

Thoughts on this one? Or something similar?

Not sure that it helps but I have these on my JK and really like them. Didn't do any hard core rock crawling but worked well for the off roading I do and aren't super intrusive. I also use them every day to get IN the jeep and I liked that they are dual purpose. Still debating what's going on the new JL when I get it and these are in the running.

I bought the Barricade Rock Sliders, just had them installed by a dealer in San Diego. I think they are a quality product for the price, at least they seem to be so far, but have not trail tested them on rocks yet.

I have to go back to the dealer because there is a small 3/4” gap near the back of the slider between it and the stock Rubi Rails on both the driver and passenger side.

I asked the dealer to please specifically follow the instructions provided and install the 12 provided washers according to instructions. Now I’m having them check their work because of the gap. But they look great.

I will update this review once I address the issue to let you know the fix.

I went back to the Jeep dealer here in San Diego at 777 Camino Del Rio and they said they "double checked" that it was installed properly and that the washers were installed evenly per the rock slider instructions, but I don't think they actually took them off and reinstalled them. So I just left them as is. Honestly I don't even notice the gap anymore, but I'm particular when something is installed to inspect it, and I wanted to point out my experience. Even with this little gap I think they look great and are a nice small "semi step" as long as it's not raining. I would suggest them, but go to an actual offroad shop would be my suggestion, instead of the dealer.

I'm buying Barricades next week but I think I'll take it to the shop to install them because I've read horror stories about removing the frame bolts. The only alternative I've found that work with the rubi rails is Ace Engineering sliders and they are stupid pricey.
