I just asked Banks if the water fording depth was impacted:
It is not different, we are still within the same 30in of water fording that the factory rates. The opening for the intake is above this, tucked in the engine compartment. There is no direct path from the grill to the intake housing compartment. Also, we have a small drain build into the housing to prevent water from being sucked up and causing hydrolock. Additionally, there is a third defense against water intrusion by having a smaller, second drain near the filter coupler sleeve.

Additionally it is now fully CARB certified with the CARB E.O. listed on their website.

I wasn't happy with how the clear plastic "BANKS" cover looked, so I decided to have a blank metal plate made using https://sendcutsend.com. It is their 5052 Aluminum (.125") with the wrinkle black powdercoat. In person it's not nearly as shiny and much less noticeable under the hood.

DXF file is attached for anyone wanting to make their own.

For reference, this is what it normally looks like:

Banks CAI is the best. love it. easy to install and no CEL's. sounds good and way better than my AFE CAI i had installed. And the AFE one drew out CEL's. Banks is the way to go. Cant wait for the exhaust to come out.
