all factory... including wheels... I truly believe at this point that its running lean @ part throttle in 1000 -2000 range.
Anything above 2000 RPM including when running on 87 is smooth but running below that range it jerks a bit often.
You are being too nice on the throttle. Try having her shift between 2000 to 3000 RPM. It has been natural for me to do that as all my previous vehicles were 4 cylinders before this Jeep. I am used to having my transmissions shift between 2500 to 3500 RPMs.

the thing is that even the Jap. 4 s didn't have issue like this unless there was some kind of timing or lean issue. The 3.6 has a better power to weight ratio than pretty much all the economy 4cyl cars. The engine should never huff and struggle with this kind of advantage on its side.

Get that checked, man. The 3.6 Pentastar is considered one of the most reliable V6 engines in the market right now regardless of manufacturer. That doesn't mean they send one out by mistake that is defective.

I use only 87 octane from different manufacturers and never noticed any pinging...3.6 manual... But I do shift around 2500 to 3000 RPM's....

OP: perhaps is the blend of gas in your region. I have owned my JL 13 months on the opposite corner of the country, and haven’t had any issues with engine knock.

This thread sounds like deja vu all over again.
