Hello all I'm looking to see if anyone else had this issue. Car was fine last night I get in to go to work this morning and the reverse camera is just a blue screen. I tried it a couple of times still just a blue screen pops up. Also as I drove the radio cuts in and out. I tried it on satellite, fm, Bluetooth, same result cuts in and out every two seconds. I tested on my phone and the phone all alone worked fine. Im thinking maybe this is connected to the blue screen issue. The navigation screen worked fine. Any input before making a service call would be appreciated. Its 2019 Rubicon 4400 miles.

Had the same happen to mine about a week ago. Issue seemed to resolve itself by the next morning and haven't had any problem since. Maybe an over-the-air update or something??

If the problem persists get it fixed under the warranty. It should be okay the next time you drive it though, as most glitches with the computer go away when its restarted.

Have you checked / re-seated all your fuses? Super easy to do and most people find they have several that needed to be pushed in better.

This sounds like the Jeep is in the process of downloading/installing an over-the-air update. Give it 12 hours and see if the issue resolves itself. If it does, there's your answer.

I'm a bit annoyed Jeep doesn't have a message pop up on the screen, notifying drivers that this is what is happening, so that it won't cause alarm. But this seems to be a common issue. Only occurs a couple times per year.

This is a known issue, there is a huge thread on it somewhere on here. I think the resolution has to do with replacing the backup camera but the camera is back ordered. Search for that thread. Dont remember what its called. Sorry. Oh, im having the same issue.

It will fix itself when uconnect reboots. It's just bad software.

I created a poll and thread regarding my issues, which STILL arenā€™t resolved. Seems there are various forms of the problem out there, and Iā€™ve experienced almost all of them. NOT a hardware issue, as Jeep has implied, as theyā€™ve replaced hardware in mine with no luck. Issues mostly started after the last software update, and there is no new update in the pipeline.

Thanks all for the replies. It did fix itself next time I drove it about 5 hours later at lunch. Hope this isnā€™t an ongoing thing. It has been fine otherwise. I appreciate the feedback

My back up camera stopped working suddenly today.
Is JeepCares an official Mopar contact.
My new Rubicon has 320 miles on it and I would be a bit disappointed if it already needed repair work, Especially considering my nearest dealership is almost 50 miles away !

The backup camera is common and a known issue on the JL and other Uconnect vehicles. Over 2 and half years this issue has persisted. Iā€™ve been to the dealer 3 times for this issue alone and there are no known fixes as of yet.
Here is mine, I get one of 2 things, no guide lines, which happens about once a week, and then there is a dreaded black (or blue) screen of death, which happened about 3-4 times during my ownership.

I really think everyone should file a complaint with NHTSA about it.

The rear camera isn't just a nice option, it is a Federally mandated piece of safety equipment, the same as seat belts.

I don't believe Federal regulations allow for safety equipment that works "sometimes"; since FCA can't seem to fix it, they need to be forced to recall and fix the vehicles under threat of fine and stop sale order.

There are two other long threads on this topic. Replacing the backup camera has worked for several people so far (for a few months and counting). Seems to be the best hope. The dealership replaced mine free of charge after trying a software update that didnā€™t help. Hope this helps you.
