Hi,

I don't have my Jeep yet, so can't do measurements to find out if this is possible.

I'm looking at getting 13.5" wide tires on a 17x9.5 wheel. We have laws up here that the tire tread (sidewall bulge is okay) must be under the fender. Is there a backspacing and offset I should be looking at to stay legal.

I'll be getting a Metalcloak 3.5" lift and 37x13.5 or 38x13.5 tire on 17x9.5 or 17x10 wheel.

Thanks,
Gerald

37x12.50's are on the edge with the stock wheel and no spacer on my Rubi, but your going to rub the sway links at full lock. You need at least a +6 offset for 13.5" wide tire and that's going to have the tread at least 2" outside the fender. I run wheel adapters so I dont rub and pull them out for inspection, at least till I find a wheel I like and even then I'll be keeping the stock wheels and current tires for inspection time.

You simply cannot run 13" wide tire without being 2+ inches outside the fender flair, even 12" are a little out

Wider fenders would be awesome but everything out so far looks like crap imo. Its one of my big hangups on getting new wheels and 38's

You might just BARELY make it on stock alloys and no spacers, but you'll likely have other clearance issues then.

I'm running stock wheels with 38x13.50 Pats and inexpensive 1.5" spacers and I probably have 1.5" out of the fenders...I'd have to put a straight edge on it tonight to know for sure
