Backed into in parking lot - rear tire carrier is strong as hell

Day after I got my lift finished someone backs into me in the parking lot. It was a hit and run, a brand new Hyundai. Paint chips on my tire but that’s it. Nothing bent or damaged. Him on the other hand has a dented trunk.
