Hello, I've been spending some time reading through the forum and joined up today. I use to have a 2015 JK Rubicon and I really got into with suspension mod's and really loved it. I had it almost 4yrs and sold it. Why? Answer is Wife!.... LOL...I wanted to get her a Mercedes C63S she really wanted and I got back into a Porsche GT3 for fun at the track.
I started wanting another Jeep, especially a 392. I finally got serious about it a few months back but wow are they hard to find! My local Jeep dealers can't get a 392 plus they want over MSRP to order etc.
I saw on the prefered dealers post that Lakeland Jeep is a forum preferred dealer, so I contacted them. I am a past customer of there's too. Lakeland Jeep showed on Jeep.com and there website they had 2 392's on the lot but wanted $10k over MSRP plus a mandatory $2500 Mopar Protection Package they called it. They are no longer discounting 392's I was told.
After back and for they brought those prices down to MSRP but I had to buy this protection pkg scam. When it came time to do the paper work all of a sudden this Jeep is not there, the sales guy can't find it blah blah I'll call you back....then crickets. I called left messages, sent texts etc. Finally he said someone sold it to another customer...probaby for over MSRP. They said they'd order 392 but it's a 6-9 month wait July-August delivery 2024. I walked away.
I contacted other local Jeep dealers same story as above, either can't get or a few coming in but want $10-20k over.
So I found a 2024 new 392, silver like a wanted, winch, sky top at Dan Cummin's in Kentucky. I contacted them worked with Lindsey there who was so prompt and awesome and no games, nothing extra I needed to buy. A few texts, email and done. Next day my 392 was on a truck and it is headed to me in Florida.
Here are some photos of my loved JK and my on the way to me 392.
