Driving down interstate this afternoon and back glass just blew out (or mostly in). Went straight to Jeep dealership and they say can only be covered under warranty with approval from Chrysler. 2020 Rubicon with just 7,000 miles - not a happy camper.

That sucks. I haven't seen anybody else have this happen but hope you get your warranty approved.

Search this forum there’s been one or two other people that have had the same thing happen. Comes down to some kind of misalignment of the window I think.

There have been at least 6 or 7 on this forum that have had this happen and one guy had his passenger side window implode with his grandchild in the car.

Hopefully video proves that it wasn’t your fault and they replace it for free.

How do you like your vava cam?

Sorry this happened. Is it possible the Ford F-450 flipped up some debris from the road while passing and it hit your rear window? I did not see anything in the video to support this, but at 60fps I suppose it is possible.

I hope either FCA or your insurance takes care of this promptly.

Cam was a gift from my daughter. Video seems to be good quality and the mount works well on Jeep windshield. Caught the glass pretty well.

When you use the option to snap a quick video it only records for 20 seconds. It would be nice if you could extend this time to cover getting up some rocks, thru a mud hole, etc. Of course it’s also recording constantly in 1, 2 or 3 minute runs. I’d like to be able to put an off-road video together without having to download each one of these short segments and use a video editor to put them all together.

I slowed this down to a frame at a time - don’t think it’s from the approaching truck.

Sorry this happened to you , it sucks, pretty sure though that was from that truck. Back wheels are pretty open, doubt it's coincidence. Could have even shot it back and bounced back forward. Like when people with trailers get bounce back

Could the CB antenna hit it? It almost looks like thats where it began.

Nah I don't think it was the truck, it happened before the truck got to his side. It doesn't look like the antenna was the culprit either, minimal movement. I guess I should look into getting something like that.
