Good morning.
I understand that I may be able to upgrade my sport to have the auto headlight feature. I believe all I need is the switch assembly and the sensor in the dash. Can you provide part numbers and pricing for these?

thanks
Chris

Hi Chris,

I cant confirm this but will surely provide the part numbers in hopes you are correct as it makes for a great upgrade. I will however need your VIN to view a few other option codes please.

I believe this is the switch. I would also like to price the sun sensor. My understanding is that there maybe a small wiring harness that goes from the sun sensor to the HVAC module as well.

Thanks,

So the switch that is required can be found here https://parts.allmoparparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-headlamp-switch-68292842ac and the sun sensor https://parts.allmoparparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-sun-sensor-68230115ab?c=bD0yJm49U2VhcmNoIFJlc3VsdHM=

In regards to whether or not the dash is prewired for these is unknown. I can definitely see that there is a different part # dash harness with auto headlamps but this may be because this option is grouped with another. The info I have found on the forums seems mixed with some people saying programming is required to make this work.

I would research this a bit more online before buying any parts.

I installed the switch. The lights turn off and on with the ingnition switch. I have the sun sensor but have not wired it yet. I am told once the sun sensor is installed they will turn off and on with the ambient light.

Is there a way to do this same thing on a 2014 Wrangler?

This forum is for the 2018 and up Jeep JL Wrangler.

Your 2014 is a JK.

To answer your question though, yes you should be able to do the same. Part numbers and install will be different though.
