AutoGuide.com's JLU dies on the highway.

I came across AutoGuide.com’s video on YouTube discussing contenders for the 2018 Utility Vehicle of the year and low and behold the JLU was in the running... at least until it had a complete electrical failure on the side of the highway.

They discuss what happened around the 20:38 minute mark in the video. It's pretty crazy stuff.

This just has me wondering, with all the same reported issues of electrical failure, trans failure etc. do you think FCA will be forced to recall the new JL's? It's getting a little out of hand.

The JL definitely isn't a Lexus in terms of reliability but saying that its, "out of hand" is going too far.

Not so well known issue with the 2018 JL ESS relay.... cross threaded terminals, will cause wild anomalies up to complete jeep electrical fail.

Little late to this, but is this actually number of units driven off of lots? Or number of units they produced? There are thousands and thousands of dec, jan, feb orders still not delivered, so it's a little hard to get a count on how many of these are on the road from a number units sold without more info.

28,000 wranglers sold in March 2018 in USA. These include JK and JL sales. For reference, 16,000 were sold March 2017. We’ll see if the trend continues. Still plenty of JK inventory to sell.
