@Rhinebeck01 whats up with tazer adding this!?
On the Wrangler JL, the windows are not connected via the CANBUS that Tazer uses to work its magic. Separate and different hardware and software are needed to control the windows.

I saw your post saying you’d have a solution... does that mean smart stop start will defeat it without rewiring?

No, it will be a completely new product line of electronic enhancements for the JL we plan to begin introducing later in 2019. Nothing to do with SmartStopStart except the same parent company.

Nice I can’t wait. I’ll have the tazer, smart stop start and whatever other contraption you come up with. I’m just going to call my dealer now and tell them I don’t need their stinking warranty. If I can drift without ess on whilst rolling all windows up and down simultaneously then who needs it?

Great mod, but those of you with with small children and pets please be extra careful as the window rises with considerable speed and force.

We plan on introducing a plug-and-play version later this year with automatic safety anti-pinch technology, auto up, global (all windows at once) and remote features.
I believe these units have a anti-pinch feature... But good call out.

When do you expect the plug and play version to be released?
I do not have an exact date yet, but it is still several months out.

What happens if you have your hand, arm or fingers in the way during auto up? Does it stop, and go back down like other vehicles do?

Years ago I had a yellow lab who managed to step on the up button while her head was out the window. I was oblivious until I smelled something awful. She literally scared the shit out of herself by getting her head stuck. It was a 90s Honda and the windows obviously didn’t automatically go down (or at least not with a dog standing on the button).

Sorry, I had to share that. I still laugh when I think of it, though at the time I was none too pleased with the log on my backseat.
