MOST things being equal (driving style, tire size, etc.) Is the drivetrain stress / shock loading on an auto and manual the same?

It will be difficult to find an all things equal scenario.

5th - 1.28
6th - 1.00
7th - 0.84
8th - 0.67
Reverse - 3.53

TRANSMISSION: D478 MANUAL, SIX-SPEED WITH OVERDRIVE
Gear Ratios:
1st - 5.13
2nd - 2.63
3rd - 1.53
4th - 1.00

Here's what torque at the axle looks like. No drivetrain losses, torque converter multiplication, etc.

Solid = Auto 3.6 Rubicon
Dashed = Manual 3.6 Rubicon

I didn't come up with these power curves, and take no credit for their accuracy. See the link in my signature for more details.
