When mine is like that (if I override auto for example), the airflow is mainly on the windshield...so I need to set it to the mid level vents...then it blows plenty hard.
Right, so then you're no longer in auto. I'm saying that if I set it to high in the auto mode, it should turn the fan on high.

It's really very simple, don't buy one....enjoy your latte.
He's only here to whine, complain, & argue when the opportunity arises... never added a word of value. Just ignore him.

I had the same issue. I recently went in for my first service and they found a bulletin on the issue. I was told it was re-calibrated and I haven't had any issues since. Here's what was on my slip. Hope it helps

Tested mine this morning. Climate set to "Auto" and 76 degrees. After 35 minutes of driving, temperature in the passenger seat was 60 degrees.

A 16 degree swing is pretty big.

Does anybody have more info on that 18-50-10-9H bulletin?

On the recalls and TSB thread, I asked @JAY if he could look into it. Hopefully we can get a bit more info about it.

Just scheduled a trip to the dealer for next Wednesday. Hopefully this will solve my issues!

Did you call them and ask about the bulletin? What did you say? Did they find it in their system easily?

I did call and ask to set up an appointment to bring it in. He basically just said ok and didn't really look into it any further. I asked if he wanted the bulletin number and he said sure I'll go ahead and write it down.

Do you have any more info about this bulletin? Dealer is clueless (of course), Jeepcares says it doesn't exist. No results for trying to find a bulletin with the number 18-50-10-9H. Is it a Star case vs a bulletin? If yes, do you have the Star case number?

You can't set fan speed when it's on auto...maybe we are saying the same thing.

No. Once home for the holidays, I got lazy and never did find a convenient time to take it in. I also got caught up installing rear helper airbags and a few other odds and ends that kept it in my garage.

Now that it has been a bit cooler in Tx, I've played with a bit, I just put fan on 3 and set to blow window and feet and set temp accordingly -- If I put on Auto wife complains when the cool air comes out the vents that face us.

Conclusion, auto fine in summer, crappy in winter.
