Hello Ike,

Whenever the problem occurs for me there is nothing I can do save it pulling Fuse 97 to get me back to normal. No matter how many offs and ons with the engine, unpairing or repairing the phone etc.

Out of curiosity what phone and software are you using?
I've got an iPhone X with the latest iOS software (not sure what version #, phone isn't on me at the moment).

Hey guys- sorry to hear the issue has come back even after trying my work around.

I’m still going strong with no issues... and no phone paired or plugged in.

So at this point I have no clue what’s the issue... so many different possibilities and no ones been able to narrow it down at all

Yeah, seems to be tough to trouble shoot. My dealer definitively doesn't have any idea. They are putting in a new radio next friday, so hopefully I won't see this again. Summarize what I have seen.

-Audio cuts in and out on a regular cycle.. like; 3 secs audio, then like 3 sec nothing.. repeat..
-Very random when it happens.. sometimes I go for weeks, sometimes just a couple starts..
-Only happens when the engine is running. Radio works fine when the Jeep is in Aux or after you shut the engine off before you open the door.
-When it happens, I have no backup lines when in reverse (Haven't tested, but I feel like my backup sensors don't work either when the lines are gone.. )
-I pull the fuse to get it work once it starts if I really need to listen to the radio
-I use an Android Google Pixel 2(I have seen the issue with and without the phone paired)

I've got a myriad of software glitches with my new JLU, and yes, this problem as well. I have the 8.4. Intermittently, the radio has no sound. The screen display is on, works, allows me to select AM/FM/XM/Apple, yet no sound, for any of it.

Also, screen back up camera has gone blank a couple times.

I got stuck in park, shifted in reverse and car wouldn't shift. The R showed up on display, but engine just raced when pressing on accelerator.

I was driving and pressed gas pedal, when I released it car stayed revving up-though pedal had visibly released.

Software glitches....I think. All of it. I'm very bummed right now, as I need to drop it off for full investigation with my dealer that is NOT anywhere close to my house, and who knows how long they will have it. *sigh*

Does this only happen when it gets cold outside or your jeep has been sitting in the cold?

Still having this issue, pulling fuse f97 every 5 days. On my road trips I don’t have SXM sometimes. Dealer says a new radio is on back order still, ( it’s been over a month), I am not even sure if a new radio would fix it or not.
It won't

Updating this thread from information on the 5thGenRAM forum:

TSB 08-003-19, which was released on January 12 2019, addresses numerous issues, including audio cutting in/out and rear backup camera lines disappearing. This will be addressed in a uConnect update which will be pushed to systems via OTA, or via USB to those systems without the built-in modem.

No other information available at this time - but if someone is willing to dig further with that TSB number, please do so.

Update: My case manager from FCA called yesterday and said there would be an OTA update sent out via Uconnect to fix the audio / backup camera lines. That's good news, but she said it could take a month

Hopefully, it will also be made available on the UConnect update web site... I'm not sure if ANYONE has been able to download latest version from it.

Called my Service Advisor, I asked him to verify the TSB, and to send details over if he can. Waiting to hear back.

Again, this will be an OTA update for those with built-in modems. I've confirmed with dealerships that they only do manual USB updates for those systems without a connection.

Same goes for me.... I called my case manager and informed them of the TSB.... I am waiting for a call back.... I WILL NOT WAIT ONE MONTH FOR A SOFTWARE UPDATE! If it is out there we need to be able to download it!

Everyone should demand this from Jeep. What is the purpose of the Uconnect software update website if it never gives you an update?

I am glad this is supposedly fixed but this needs to be downloaded or pushed to our Jeeps.

UPDATE -- Just called my Service Adviser - He pulled up the TSB and said it does NOT list the Wranglers on it.
He could not send it to me... but if anyone has a connection or a way to get the TSB.... We need to get them to push this out to us also!
