What is the latest word? Any problems yet? I get mine tomorrow.
So far so good. Knock on wood. This is the longest it has worked straight since I've owned the vehicle (Jan 5th).

I'm curious if they are switching out your entire radio or just a part, maybe the screen. I overheard the service techs talking about having to switch out all of the screens on a number of new cars. They may have been talking about another Dodge/Jeep vehicle, but sounded suspicious. I have a feeling they've identified several errors in many models with Uconnects and are trying to apply fixes, especially to new vehicles so they don't have new owners coming back to complain. Just a theory.. but as everyone has realized in this thread, Jeep has been very hush hush about this entire issue.

They have already replaced my AMP, which did very little. Actually I take that back. When the issue used to occur, it would be on for about 3 seconds and off for 1. With the new AMP, it would be on for 1.5 seconds and off for a .5 so the tempo of the cutout got faster.. ha ha. The screen is the head head unit that runs the radio and just about everything else in the car. So in replacing the screen, the radio gets replaced. I hope the new hardware model fixes the issue, I know a lot of Jeep and Ram drivers that will be very happy. I also agree, Jeep has been keeping things very hush hush, I think it is going to be a costly repair for them, as there are a lot of cars having this issue.

Why do I need to PM you my VIN? I did that FOUR MONTHS AGO!

Please respond to our concerns here. Others need to know what your doing besides giving people the run around in private chats.

This thread has over 350 posts, thousands and thousands of views and not ONE single person has reported back saying their radio was fixed. Please be transparent with us.
Hi eugene,
Thank you for letting me know. I have located the VIN that you have provided in our private message from four months ago to another other Social Care Specialist, Jennifer. We handle these concerns on a case by case basis and we request that anyone who is experiencing this to send us a private message because we need to gather personal information from each of you in order to have this documented properly. If you would like to continue working with us to have this address, please feel free to send us a private message.

@JeepCares I provided my Vin (again) in PM. No response (again). This is approaching class action territory... Awful. 60k into this thing and can't enjoy my commute half the time using the tech you're charging a premium for.
Hi Jroc,
We understand your frustration. I have responded to your private message as of this morning. I look forward to assisting you with this concern.

Your gonna have to either leave the car off for a few hours or pull fuse f97, Iā€™m going to actually have to update my first post, gotta make it clear to everyone who views this thread the issue.

Anyone know how we can pressure Jeep to fix this or have it get more attention to other consumers?
Yea it seems ppl don't read the thread. I keep seeing ppl talking about changing the radio or Amp, or saying that it's related to cold temperature lol.

It's simple, changing the radio or amp DOES NOT fix it. I have tried both.

For the people who says it's related to cold weather, well I live in Canada and it's been cold like under -10C for the last 3 months lol The issue is intermittent regardless of the temperature outside. There have been reports of ppl having the issue in Southern Florida, where it never really gets cold...

Jeep Cares are a real joke haha they keep pretending they care and that they can help but they can't!

Don't waste time even going to the dealer until there's a known fix out there!

I agree about waiting until there is a known fix. Changing parts isn't going to fix it yet.

However I believe the temp is a factor. For example my Jeep sits in the garage overnight, temp displays 45-50F when I back out. It is 20-30F outside. I drive to work no issue. It sits outside in the 35F or lower temp all day. When I start it to go home the issue is there. Sits in garage overnight warms up, and the issue is gone in the morning. Repeats the next day, after sitting in the cold. One day it stayed above 40F and it did not happen. One night when it was acting up I left it outside in the cold, the next morning it was still occurring.

I'm just basing it on my experience, but it seems like for the transition from 50F to 35F or colder has consistently caused the problem. But it could be dependent on how long I press the start button, or what finger I use to start it, or what station I was on. :CWL:;)

Well, I'll be bringing in my brand new Rubicon on Monday. I bought it from Jim Marsh Jeep in Las Vegas (who was wonderful to work with throughout the process), but I live in SoCal, so Iā€™m bringing it in to Bob Baker Jeep of Carlsbad. Picked it up brand new in January, haven't even gone off road yet, and I'm having the following errors: started with the sound system completely shutting off randomly, then turns back on the next morning, the back up camera blue screen + intermittent green screen/flashing, service 4wd light + service sway bar disconnect + service axle locker system, . Hopefully with this many issues with so few miles on it + so many others having the same issues in the past 9mo, they will have some solutions. This is my first time posting to these forums, but have spent a lot of time in them thanks to other Jeep owners great posts and commentary. I'll keep everyone posted on how Monday goes.

Here is the new baby:

Update: Brought it into Bob Baker Chrysler Jeep Dodge, and they had it for the day. Ran diagnostics that traced about 10 error codes back to the computer system next to the subwoofer. Checked all the hard connection points connected to the errors and found none of those were issues, and everything was connected correctly. They said they would not work on it or fix it because it has aftermarket mods done to it, and because of that - nothing is covered under warranty, and I need to bring it back to Rebel Offroad to have them fix it. Not super happy with how unwilling they were to go beyond that, so I'm depending on Rebel Offroad to have a solve for me. Those guys have been awesome, so I hope they can work through it and solve the issues causing all these error codes. Will have to wait 2wks for that though.

Will post an update once I get it back form Rebel.

That just sounds like the dealership was being very dismissive. I'm not sure what aftermarket products you had placed, but if it doesn't interfere with the electrical they can't blame your upgrades on the current radio issue everyone has been having for months. They technically shouldn't be able to dismiss your warranty unless the aftermarket part has a direct cause for the problem. I'm not sure about your other issues, but the radio shouldn't interfere. (I can see them having an issue with the service 4by4, disconnect, lockers issue if you have an aftermarket lift/suspension/lockers... and that should be checked by Rebel Offroad.... but not the radio issue on this thread).
Jeeps are like the number one customized vehicle in the nation, pretty much everyone has an aftermarket part in their Jeep. The dealership gets paid for warranty repairs anyway, so for them dismissing you, just seems like they don't want to deal with it since there truly isn't a fix yet... and I'm sure they are dealing with many other customers with the same issues.

So the new radio went in this morning. We shall see what happens. I will keep everyone up to date. My hardware version went down a version, which is interesting. I went from CNSC87N0GL TO CNSC87N0FL. Same Software load. Usually parts increment, not go backwards.. We shall see I guess. Brian, what part number is your radio?

Glad you brought the hardware part numbers up, I was going to bring that up and have people posting their part numbers to see which ones are working and which are not.
My part numbers changed exactly as yours did! I went from the GL to the FL. It went one letter down, I wonder what that means. Is it an older version that works better? Or the letters have no meaning on when it was fabricated?
What I would like to know if anyone with the CNSC87N0FL hardware version has been having the intermittent radio issues? If not, the solution may have been found; if so, unfortunately ours will start malfunctioning again soon.

My reciept from the dealer shows the part number as "68295725-AH"

...Or with the weather warming, FCA gets a "pass" for 6 months as the noise quiets down. Pun fully intended.

Thanks for the reply BRI01... regarding the electric/computer related issues, I have an ARB air compressor and an always on 12v in the back that are all wired in + a Maximus ladder installed. They said the electric work is causing the computer issues, and the ladder might be causing the computer to think the roof is off, vs correctly bolted in. Will find out more on 3/25 when I bring it to Rebel.

Right!? That' whats frustrating with this issue. The new cars are all controlled by computers now, it makes them so hard to fix!
