The subwoofer is being custom built for this build... It will have an all carbon fiber cone and dust cap, and will be powder coated in a flat black (vs the gloss black as shown) to match the amps. That brings the price of the sub alone to $1,700, so it had better give me warm, fuzzy feelings!! Lol

Btw, could the amps fit more perfect in that storage bin?!?! I was ecstatic to discover that!

Below the amps is plenty of room for the dsp and all of the wiring and connections...

Not often do things just fall into place so perfectly like this!

Drawing out the amp rack...

0 gauge from the battery to a distribution block and then 4 gauge to each amp. Only OFC, Knukonceptz Kolossus wire will do.

I decided to run the power wire under the Jeep (on the outside), rather than through the interior and it will enter through a hole in the plastic tub.

The Morel Elate mids dropped into the dash as if they were made for it:

The Morel supplied tweeter pods also look great and will mount to the factory grill:

I also got the Metra pods and the 6.5" almost fits... I'll do to a little trimming and then make a baffle for it. The pod will be vented with an aperiodic vent.

Are you planing some before and after sound clips? It would be cool to see the difference!

Looking forward to seeing how this comes out! If nothing else, I'd like to see how speakers fit in the factory locations. Good luck!

Where do you store your earplugs? You'll need an NRR of at least 30 with that setup!

;)

Love the Fiio X5...Great player right there....
Me too. I have had a few DAPs and this one is my favorite (at least for now).

Thanks! Yes, sound deadening will be done extensively, from top to bottom.

Are you planing some before and after sound clips? It would be cool to see the difference!
Do you mean frequency response measurements of the oem audio vs after market, or actual music playing? Both would be cool and are doable...

Lets use the term "fit" loosely! Lol... I actually love fabricating so, I am often more excited when they DON'T fit, but so far things are looking pretty easy...

Lol! I do enjoy it loud for short bursts, but most of the time I look out for my ears...

I was thinking just a cell phone vid of actual music playing, though Freq response measurements would be :cool too!
