To me, purposely going over or through something to push the limits and possibly break something is where the fun ends. I‘m all for exploring, but I’m not purposely going though the deepest mud hole or the steepest rock.

I just want to enjoy the scenery of the road less traveled safely…
That sums it up for me exactly! Explore the road less traveled, even occasionally when it's not a road LOL.

My answer to this question presented itself in Big Bear, Ca on the John Bull trail, Gatekeeper. I took my rig with 35" tires and a 4" lift up without damage. For me, it was very technical and I had complete trust in my spotter. It was challenging with the equipment I had. Behind me? A BEAUTIFUL LJ with front and rear Dana 60s, locked, rolling on 40" tires. I do believe it had a glorious V8 swap as well. Climbed up Gatekeeper like it was a speedbump, the woman driving didn't flinch, just pointed and went. After I was done wiping the drool off my face, (the woman was very pretty but that LJ), I realized I enjoyed that obstacle far more than she did. It was a huge accomplishment for me to complete John Bull, Holcomb Creek, and Gold Mountain. For her and that glorious LJ, it was just a day on the trail.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to own that LJ, but I think for me, I saw when the fun would diminish.

When it stops being fun is different for each person.

I like to say, “If all the roads in the mountains were paved, I’d drive a Transit. Until then, the JL takes me to the pretty remote places”.

It was never fun for me if something besides the rubber was touching rocks or the ground. I’ve always hated Trail damage, but I have been fortunate enough to have total repair bills under $1000 with over 20 years in the rocks and on trials

It's not fun when I say it's not fun.

Most of the comments in here would never be said to thier faces. The internet has given spineless twats big balls. Lots of jealousy that turns to hate as well.

It’s pretty sad honestly.

Some of the comments on here are incredible. They don't know the people involved and base opinions on a YouTube persona. Literally every person that has ever met them has said they're amazing humans.
Yet people get on here and say some of the most ignorant things like they're not even real people they're talking about.
Don't like their channel? Don't. Watch. It. No need to come on here and speak of physical attributes that have NOTHING do with offroading.

Not one of you ITGs would say shit in person about someone's spouse to their face. Try being a better fucking human being. Better yet, if you're that much of a garbage person, figure out why your life sucks so much that you feel so entitled to be the way you are.

And don't give me the "they're on the internet so it's free game" bullshit. It isn't. They have literally never done a goddamned thing to you. Itt just comes down to you looking like a douchebag and being completely jealous of the lifestyle they've carved out and make probably pretty good money with.
They have like 200k subs. They're not stupid YouTube rich and sponsorships only go so far for part replacements. You think all the labour that's done is by sponsorship?

Also, the husband, Kevin is on here and reads/replies. Why don't you just get rid of the middle man and message the guy directly with your opinions on his wife or wheeling style. Oh wait, then you won't get the echo chamber full of garbage humans nodding in agreement, will you?

Lastly, I've never met them, nor even held a conversation with them. Most likely never will coming from Canada. I just respect that they're a young couple living their best life and I guess was raised better than some piece of shit anonymous internet mouthpiece.

Not fun would be walking back down the trail - Fortunately haven't got anywhere near that point.

I'm not fans of them or that channel, just personal taste.
Back in the olden days before I sold my Toyotas, it stopped being fun when you're last in line of 20 guys trying to go over a bunch of rocks. I understand the challenge things but I would look for a mountain pass rather than going over the tallest peak.
For most of my four-wheel drive time I like to go fire road and and explore while camping.

I also try to avoid tearing up the land and get stuff closed down… I also make it a goal, I come out with a full bag of trash.
Note LiteBrite was on trails in Texas (private OHV park) during this video. They also stress stay on trials and do not ruin untrodden areas.
