Hey there fellow forum peeps.
The new snazberry 392 has arrived along with the caravan of Amazon and UPS trucks delivering mods.

Since the XR package was not available when my Jeep was built I figured I’d just mod it upon arrival.

I like the stock rims but feel I should move up to 17x8 to be safe with 35 or 37” Micky Thompson Baja A/T’s.

I’m looking for a rim/tire combo that would give the 392 an aggressive stance yet still be able to use the TPMS system.

Any suggestions? I’d appreciate everyone’s expertise and experience.

Congrats on the new Jeep! Just wanted to echo what Brad said, having the correct TPMS sensors is the only thing that matters I believe, not the style or dimensions of the wheels and tires you choose.

Good luck with your search, and post up some pics when you get the new stuff on it! :like:

Whew - good thing you upgraded, stock Jeep would have never made it up that gravel embankment! ;)

The Fuel Vapor are 20”x9”. The MT’s are 35x12.5R20LT
I wanted a fairly stiff tire so they retained some semblance of performance. This Jeep won’t rock-crawl so I don’t need a squishy sidewall… maybe some air down at the beach.
The ride is really good. Going to a larger rim and tire has robbed some of the performance of the 392. Getting a price today to re-gear to 4.56 to see if I can brighten up the performance.

You guys were right! I used the TPMS from the factor and it works great. BTW I went with Fule Vapor 20” on Mickey Thompson’s.
