Another two weeks have come and gone and still no progress. It’s hard to believe that we waited 6 MONTHS since our original order date and we‘ve officially waited longer for order #2 than order #1.

Received an update from our escalation advisor today (14-Jan) that our original build date of some time in the week of 03-Jan is now planned for 21-Jan. He did confirm that the plant is experiencing an impact related to chip shortage and the plan. Leadership is being cautious about how many builds get pulled from the line or sitting around the line in an incomplete or in-process state. I under it and not much you can do. Waiting is SO HARD TO DO! Keeping the faith that its worth the wait!!!

Nice surprise from our EA on the 15/Jan that they were able to start the build early and progressed nicely.

G status (paint) on 1/15
JB status (upfitter) on 1/18
KZ status (shipping) on 1/22

It’s a nice change for once. Really hoping to take delivery in a few days.

January 30, 2021

Artie is finally here. It’s the very end of the 27th week since we ordered Jeep #1 & 14 weeks since ordering this one that we picked up yesterday. We might just cancel all our plans for the weekend and just drive!

Really wanna say thanks to Andrew (new salesman), Tim (new sale manager) & Leo (dealership owner) for making things right! Being at the dealer yesterday was awkward. All the staff knew who we were, weird staring by a few and lots of comments about how great our new Jeep looks in the build we chose. The most interesting phrase we heard was “We don’t talk about the white Jeep around here!” HAHAHA

I’d like to thank @Eandras for the escalation support that got the ball rolling.

I can’s say enough about the great customer service we received from our escalation advisor Mike from FCA/Stellantis in Detriot. We would not be where we are without him!

For those that are still waiting and frustrated…we’ve been there. We know how you feel…its worth it in the end to get your customized / special ordered Jeep!

Can’t wait to hit the road. Speaking of road… we have a road trip planned for March to Arizona. More on that later…

DB2 The Jeep looks Great. I was happy to assist you in getting your Jeep Build escalated. I agree Mike, your EA, is excellent. They need to clone him 1000 times over.

I hope that if you see another forum member having an issue that you would give them the escalation process that was used. It allows someone that has an actual issue get resolution Again if you are ever going to be in the NJ NY Area let me know we can meet up. Enjoy your ride..

Feb 27, 2022 - 1,420 Miles

Been enjoying the first month of owning a Jeep. We cal it LAJ - Life After Jeep. We’ve taken a few day trips in the last few weeks but getting excited for a major cross country road trip in mid March to Arizona!!!

Here is list of the minor modifications and accessories we’ve completed so far.

• All weather floor mats. (weathertech)
• Center console tray insert.
• Front passenger handle hidden tray.
• Antenna swap.
• Rear center console cup holder swap.

We picked up our new soft top today for the warm weather version of Artie. Now we just need constantly warm weather. Thinking mid to late May to make the switch.

When does everyone make the switch for those that do the dual top thing?
