This does seem odd... Before putting my order through Artec told me that they would work with the factory LEDs. I didn't specifically ask if they would fast blink or result in a dash warning but thought it was implied.

I installed the Artec fender chip kit today. I had previously used my tuner to convert other lights to LED. When I installed the Artec led’s I did not have any alarms or fast blink.

That looks great! I need some more space for my tires, and I'm not sure I have the patience to wait for aftermarket fenders. I can live with the fast blink if comes to that, but I don't want it to light up my dash every time I use the blinkers

Thanks! I think it turned out great. Just need to install the innner fenders now. I didn’t try to LED bolts without the tuner. If you do get a fast blink or alarm then a Superchips flashcal should do the trick. I used mine to covert to LED’s, lower my TPMS setting, and will use it to recalibrate my speedometer when I get bigger tires. Of course it reads and clears codes too. Well worth it IMO.

I have a Tazer, and while i know it will let me add options I havent looked if it will allow me to change settings from my OEM LEDs sidemarkers to halogen.
According to Artec it works with the Halogens but not with the LED's. DV8 also has fenders with LEDs built in, but they also claim they won't work if you had OEM LED's.

When the lower halves are removed, is it a destructive process? I other words, are attachments permanently broken?

Yes, the lower halves seem to be plastic "welded" on(It may be some sort of strong plastic adhesive.) You have to use a good amount of force to separate/break those points. You can probably put them back together with some adhesive, or if you have something to melt the plastic halves back together at those points.

All the areas below that are raised with the little slots in them need to be separated by force.

Yes. The conversion is irreversible. Not only the cutting of the lower fenders but the slicing of the wires for the LED bolt lights. Dot let that discourage you though. It’s easy enough and ultimately it’s just plastic. Make it look like a real Jeep.

Hello, would it be possible to get a picture from the bottom of how it actually holds the fenders ? how it attaches to the fender ? thanks in advance

The marker light on the front corner is a bolt light. You drill a hole (I used a paddle bit) in the fender and the bolt light is what attaches the support to the fender. The rest is just the fender being bolted to the body. The fenders themselves are fine without the support. But they would flop in the wind without the bracket and that bolt light holding the corner down.
