So, unlike most on this forum I had a super difficult time installing.

I'm wondering if the main cause was me putting in sound deadening beforehand (i used the soundskins pre cut for JLs). It adds about .25" in height on both the bottom and sides.

Despite best efforts, the drain plugs were impossible to line up and ended up having to cut the kick panels to get it to fit...and in turn broke the connector brackets as well and it's still not flush.

Let me know if I'm simply doing something wrong, or that quarter inch of sound deadening is throwing everything off.

Well, I shall refer to my own post and say -- yes, there is a warning to not put over any other material (should have scrubbed all 18 pages of this thread and opened the actual instructions vs just watching the installation video I would have realized it.

I installed mine over Kilmat and had some issues with the door sill parts, but otherwise, it was fine.

I believe you answered your own comment/question. The only thing I would suggest is that you go back and trim the soundskin around the drain holes to allow the Armorlite to snug down more. The Armorlite has a really nice backing that deadens the sound. Not sure how much more you are lowering the sound by doubling that up... The biggest sound difference I realized was from the Kilmat on the inside of the hardtop with the Coverking full liner over it. The combo of the two with the Armorlie made a huge difference! I run the hardtop 6 months out of the year and the soft top the rest.

Thanks, yeah, I'm probably going to pull them out and do some trimming around the drain holes and then shave some of the backing of the armorlite flooring near the panel area to get those to fit.

The soundskin + armorlite has clearly transferred all the noise to the convertible roof! ha.

Been holding my breath for over two years on that! They told me it would be released shortly after I purchased the front portion...
Same. Not holding my breath anymore.

Started adding dampening and will just hang up the idea of these awesome flooring options. ?‍♂

Good day
I didn’t read all 19 pages of this thread.
I am in a Thread for the 2 door JL.
When is Armorlite providing the rear cargo section for the 2 door?

I purchased the front and rears Saturday from them at Jeep Beach in Daytona. They said the 2 door was about to come out but the cargo mat for the 4 door would be later this summer.

That’s great news. I’m from St Augustine and totally forgot about this weekend. That’s definitely where you would find out all of that information. I Raptor lined the whole Jeep floor and installed the front Armorlite on my 2 door last spring. Best product for floors no doubt.
