Beautiful areas... and totally under appreciated.Been a long time, but I lived and Jeeped in southern AZ about 40 years ago, from 1969 to 1979. Lots of running washes around Tucson, and out into the Santa Ritas and Rincons. Had a 1949 Willys wagon, then a 1969 Commando. Worked in Ajo for five years. Overland past Gran Chaco, down to Quijotoa, west into the Cabeza Prieta, east on Pipeline through Burro Gap, then into the hills north of the res. Looked at ghost towns, climbed Coffeepot on foot. Wild West days, totally unstructured.
That's my biggest issue with moving anywhere... how many trails are available?!I lived in AZ (mostly the Glendale and Avondale areas) for 20 years. Moved to the SC coast a year and a half ago. I plan on moving back to AZ this year. SC is nice but I REALLY miss AZ. There is nowhere to wheel at all here. I can't wait to get back to AZ!
